Korean lifestyle of dining and culture
Korean food and dining lifestyle have a lot of cultural similarities that of their neighboring countries China and Japan. Chopsticks are used for eating in Korea because of Japan's cultural influences and this can tell us that rice and noodles are the main diet there. Just like a typical busy city, there is not enough time to prepare a decent meal so there is a regular consumption of instant foods such as instant noodles, frozen meals or pre-packed food.Korean is a four season country meaning it has winter season so there are restaurants with grills where people can cook their own food at their table and keep themselves warm at the same time. Convenient stores or groceries sell local branded goods such as noodles, drinks, candies, and other delicacies. Most of the time people are in a hurry to go there to buy food or have a quick drink while students usually go there for a snack or for bonding time with their friends. Vending machines are very useful because people can just promptly buy what they need insteadof waiting inline in a grocery store. Overall, there are more times when koreans rely more on convenience of food during workdays.
